Front Yard at the end of summer

More pots and the side yard at the end of summer

More of the yard

Just a few shoots around the yard

Surprises in the garden

Why does my peaches never rippen? I only get a few apples and pears?

We thought we would pick some strawberries, raspberries and tomatoes. I also got some basil from my garden. I wished I could figure out why my fruit trees don't do better.

The Gardening Season will soon be winding down

I like to walk around my yard at the end of the season and take pictures. I review them over the winter and make plans for next year. Jody has helped me in my yard this year and I so appreciate it! Brandi and the boys went out to pick some tomatoes to make some salsa. Brandi has helped me a ton in side the house. I appreciate their help so much! The bottom picture has been a prenial garden and I am hoping to change it to an ever green boarder

Hosta is in bloom

I love Hosta but their blooms I think are a little funny looking. I am not sure why my hosta is not getting larger in this spot? But I love big clumps of hosta.

July is a hard month in Utah to have flowers in bloom it is very hot and dry. You can always count on day Lily, cornflowers and few roses. I found a new one to my list a hydrangea

This is a hydrangea called Endless summer. When I first planted it was a beautiful blue but it is now turning purple. This is the third year and is doing very well I planted one last year and it is smaller.

Boxwood

Here is the half circle in front of my house in late June. I just finished trimming the box wood. It took me about three hours. But you only have to do it once or twice a year. In late June through the end of August I really have to fight the spider mite. I find the best thing to do is to spay the boxwood off real good with a blast of water. If I do this a couple of times a week I can get a real handle on them.

When I came back from Buchart Gardens, I was surprised to see my own yard full of bloom. Here are a few of my favorites. (T-R) I believe this is a shrub rose called parfait. (T-C) You can see my iceberg shrub roses and my climbing rose called Flame. (R)This is a Climbing rose called ":
