Boxwood

Here is the half circle in front of my house in late June. I just finished trimming the box wood. It took me about three hours. But you only have to do it once or twice a year. In late June through the end of August I really have to fight the spider mite. I find the best thing to do is to spay the boxwood off real good with a blast of water. If I do this a couple of times a week I can get a real handle on them.

When I came back from Buchart Gardens, I was surprised to see my own yard full of bloom. Here are a few of my favorites. (T-R) I believe this is a shrub rose called parfait. (T-C) You can see my iceberg shrub roses and my climbing rose called Flame. (R)This is a Climbing rose called ":
This is a David Austin Rose. I have quit a few of them in my yard. This particular one is called Tamora. I planted three together in my half circle drive with gem box wood. I really have enjoyed them they smell wonderful. People waking down the street comment on the fragrance. They also bloom almost all season. I usually feed them a couple of times during the early spring a mid summer.

The Siberian iris were also pretty this year because of all the rain. I love my white clematis i just wished it bloomed all year. You can't see the pond which is just at the feet of the iris but the gold fish and the koe both made it through the winter
